Good Morning my scrappy friends! It is a beautiful day and I can't wait to do the household chores so I can get in to the scrappy place!  I was looking on Facebook and read that Graphic 45, one of my favs for vintage layouts was having a contest for Wedding layouts.  So I could not resist!  I went into the scrappin place and was going to use a pic from my parents wedding, but then said to myself, (Yes, Scrappin T talks to herself when she crafts!) I should use a picture from my wedding.  So here is my layout:
Yes, this is hubby and I right after our kiss and it is one of my most favorite pictures from our wedding. Now you can all see that I am 5' 2" and he is 6' 5", so he always has to bend over even to give me hugs!  LOL!  I used Graphic 45 Le Romantique, I Am Roses, Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist, Walnut Stain and Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tim Holtz Rock Candy Stickles, and lace from ebay. I love the way it turned out, even if the picture isn't vintage,  Okay, I admit, some people may say it is a vintage picture! LOL!
I hope you all have a scraptacular day!

Good Monday Morning my scrappy friends!  As most of you know, if you have watched my YouTube vids and some of my posts, I am a huge fan of Die Cuts with a View paper!!! I love their stacks, from the 12 x 12 to their wonderful mat stacks, which are great for a scrapper like me, who sometimes can't measure to save her life!  Over at the Die Cuts with a View blog, they had a challenge layout, which they provided a page map and you the scrapper took it from there.  Here is a picture of the layout that I created:

I used the Fun in the Sun Summer Stack and my Cricut with the Plantin School cartridge to create this layout of my oldest son, Kieth when he played Little League.

I hope you all like the layout and I am wishing you all a scrapdacular day!

Happy scrappy Saturday to all of my scrappy friends!  I have been working on some projects in my scrappin place.  I am doing my very first stamped image swap, so that is all done and I just have to send them in the mail!  Now I have also been working on a layout and card challenge over at Creating the Crafty Life.  I must admit, these weekly challenges have been great.  I have actually done some 12 X 12 layouts, which I love!
The card challenges are a real challenge for me, as I am not a card maker. So here is the card I made for the challenge this week:
DCWV card
Harvest & Holiday stack by Debbie Mumm
Inkiadinkado Stamp
Cricut Storybook
Tim Holtz Barn Hinge and Walnut Stain Ink

Now for the layout challenge.  I know that you all must be getting pretty tired of looking at pictures of me, but I really wanted to get these pics on layouts.  So here we go:

DCWV Flower Power Spring Stack
Cricut A Child's Year
I Am Roses
Tattered Angel Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, Strawberry Shortcake
Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Ramblin Rose
Buttons

I was adopted by my parents when I was 2 months old and these pics are ones my mom had taken while she and my Dad were feeding me.  I had been with them 3 days and of couse, my Mom had to take them while I had food all over me!

Hope you all enjoy the projects that I have made.  Wishing you all a scrapdacular weekend!

Good Evening my scrappy friends!  Finally able to post!! It is hard when not only one, but both puters go on the fritz! I have some exciting news, or what I feel is exciting! I am member of Little Scrap of Heaven and they had a blog hop of major porportions!  I was lucky enough to win a beautiful Graphic 45 altered box, which Fernlintner65, that is her YouTube channel name, made for the hop.  It is lovely!  I was also chosen on the Creating the Crafty Life for last week's card challenge and won some great trims from MB Treasurista!  If you all have not seen her wonderful trims, you need to!  You can purchase her wonderful goodies at http://www.zibbet.com/MBsTreasurista?offset=1#navlink

Now for some of my creations!  Here is a card that I made for the card challenge over at Creating the Crafty Life:

Here is the list of items that I used to create this Halloween card:
Debbie Mumms Harvest and Holiday Stack
Seasonal Stamps
Black Ink
Jolene Pumpkin Embellie

I am not really a card maker, but I am really attempting to become one.  I am sure I will get better with every challenge.

Now, as you all know, I love, love and love creating 12 x 12 layouts.  Again this was for the Layout challenge over at Creating the Crafty Life:
What can I say, I am and always will be a Daddy's girl.  I was almost 2 years old in this particular picture, which was taken at a party that my parents had.  I call this LO, "Princess in PJ's", which I have not put on the layout yet, as I am still looking for the right font to use.  Here is a list of the items I used to create this layout:
Die Cuts with a View
Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Lace from Ebay (which I am hoarding at the present time, as I have not seen it on Ebay since I purchased it)

I hope you all enjoy these projects as much as I enjoyed creating them!  Hope you all have a scrapdacular night!

Happy Friday, my scrappy friends!  I am currently working on some challenges over at Creating the Crafty Life.  Cards are a real challenge for me, as I just am not sure if they are good or not.  So here is my attempt at the Card Challenge:

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make this card:

12x6 red card stock from my stash
Echo Park - A walk in the park 6x6 papers
Neehan paper for the sentiment and stamped image
Prisma pencils and gamasol

I will be back a little later with the layout challenge.  Hope you all have a scraptacular day!

When it rains, it pours my scrappy friends!  LOL!  The reason for the absents from my blog is both of the computers in our household went crash!  What a nightmare!  Well we now have the desktop all fixed, but my laptop is on the waiting list to be fixed.  I will be posting some creations a little later today from the scrappin place.

Good Morning my Scrappy Friends!

I am entering a couple of layouts in a giveaway hosted by Tonya - Psychomom, who has reached 2000 subbies on her YT Channel!  Congrats to Tonya and you all should head over to her YT channel and give her videos a look over, you will not be disappointed! Here is the first submission:

The layout is titled "Hello Daddy"  Yes my scrappy friends, I am and will always be a daddy's girl!  This is a photo of me at the age of 5.  I saw the toy phone and told the photographer that I wanted to call my daddy, so my daddy stood behind the photographer with the same phone and I called daddy.

I had a great time making this layout, as it brought back a wonderful memory for this "Daddy's Girl"

The next submission that I made was another layout:

This layout is titled "First Christmas" The picture that you see, my scrappy friends, is my older brother's first Christmas and this was the Christmas card my parents sent out that year.  I used not only the pic, but I left the card intact, so that it could be used as a journal tag as well.

I hope you all enjoy these layouts that I have created and I hope I have given you just a little inspiration!
Have a scrapdacular day!

Welcome to my Scrappin' Place!  I have not done many challenges, but when I saw that one of my fav paper lines, Bo Bunny was having a challenge, I had to do it!  For this challenge, I used Bo Bunny's Gabrielle paper, Tattered Angels in Coral Reef and Pearl. I am Roses flowers, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain & Muse Token.  I call this layout Moments:

Yes, that is I, in my younger days.  Hope that you all like this layout, it was a lot of fun to do.  This layout represents the "Moments" that I had that year in my life.

Scrappy Hugs,
T
Good Afternoon my scrappy friends!  As you all are aware, I am a member of the Little Scrap of Heaven website, which I must say if you are not a member, you need to be!  It is a wonderful site!  Cindylouwho, Laura, Becca and Misty run a great site!!!  Trust me, you will not be disappointed!  Cindy is hosting a challenge over at LSH for a summer shadow box. Here is my sad attempt at this challenge, as I am terrible at measurements, so I took a cigar box, which the lid fell off and used that:

I painted the box with blue paint, with a pearlizing additive, then crackle painted it.  Using yellow paper to cover the lid, I cut the saying out on my Cricut, using the Mickey & Friends Font cart, using the end cap key.  For the sun I used my Winnie the Pooh and Friends cart.  The picture is of my youngest son, Robby showing off his "big muscles" for Pluto!

Hope you all like this and come on over LSH!

Good Morning my scrappy friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend and were able to do some scrappy projects! : )  Here is a project that I made this weekend for a friend of mine.  I used the Proper Gentlemen collection from Graphic 45, Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Modge Podge to alter this cigar box.  This was a fun project and I am very lucky that I have another friend who also likes cigars and gives me his boxes.  I will be back a little later with another project from the scrappin' place.

Hello my scrappy friends!  It has been too long!  I finally found my mojo and the top of my scrappin desk! LOL!  I have a few projects to share with all of you:
This first project was my own personal sign for my scrappin' place.  I purchased the wood plaque from Michael's for $1, painted it, used my french scrip stamp with gold ink, sprayed it with LSG Gold Doubloon, prima pearls, I am roses flowers and skeleton leafs, prima e line flowers, which were all misted with LSG and  Tattered Angels with a Tim Holtz Adage ticket.  I cut the letters with my Cricut, using the Storybook cartridges.  The paper I used was from Websters Pages, which I painted over with glitter paint.

The next project is an old silver frame:
I first painted it with gesso, then used umber brown, crackle medium and cream paint.  I then used Tim Holtz old paper distress ink, tattered angels gold and walnut gold.  I am Roses curly roses misted with LSG and Tattered Angels.

I will be posting the video on these projects on my YouTube today.  Glad that I finally found my mojo!

Good Morning and sorry it has been sooooooo long since my last post.  I really need to figure out how to get internet in my scrappy place!  My wireless router died : (   I will figure this out, I promise!!!

Well, I am finally going to comment on something which has been a really hot topic in the electronic cutting world.  As most of you know, I own a Cricut Expression machine, which is made by ProvoCraft.  I have several ProvoCraft items, like the Cuttlebug, over 50 of the cartridges for the Cricut, Design Studio, and a Gypsy.  While I was pleased with my machine, I was not pleased with Design Studio, as it is and still is not very user friendly and the only updates for this software was when ProvoCraft released new cartridges.  Then I heard of a software program called Sure Cuts A Lot, made by Craftedge.  I purchased the software and was not only able to use the fonts on my computer, but was able to design my own cut files.  Now, while I am not very good with Inkscape, which is a program that assist you in designing, I loved the fact that I could cut items that I know that ProvoCraft would not make a cartridge for, which I am not upset about as they can't make carts for everything.  Then Make the Cut software came out, which to my understanding, is even more user friendly than SCAL, but I was going to wait and see what everyone thought of this program before I purchased it.

Well, I was a day late and a dollar short, as ProvoCraft took MTC to court and the settlement with MTC was that it would no longer support the Cricut.  Then ProvoCraft went after SCAL, much to my disappointment and now their new version, SCAL 3 will not support the Cricut as well.  As you can all imagine, I am somewhat upset with ProvoCraft and this was the last straw for me.  While there are crafters who support and love this particular company, which I once was, but they have disappointed me.  They do not really listen to their customer base, their customer service is very hit and miss, and they make promises, which never really seem to happen.  Even with my purchase of a third party software, I was still purchasing cartridges, due to the fact that they had some that I loved.  So I will not be purchasing anymore PC products and will use my bug until it dies, as purchasing another cutter at this time is not an option for me.  So now off of my soap box and  to my scrappy place to create, craft and dream!  I have some video I must do and pics to post............

T

Happy Tuesday from my scrappin place!  I had the shock of my life the other day, but it was a good one! I was watching videos on YouTube, and I clicked on the video for Lil Scrap of Heaven, which I am a member of and I love, love, love it! Cindyloowho, Laura and Becca are fabo ladies and you all need to take a gander at this site and join up!  The lovely ladies pick 3 or 4 of the members each month, (I think it is monthly, don't quote me) as featured projects.  So, I am watching the video, which you all should look at as well, and the very last picture was a project that I had done!!! I about fell out of my chair! My thanks to the ladies at LSH, you all rock!

Here is the project, which I made with an old bottle, alcohol inks, perfect pearls, Graphic 45 and stick pins:

Hope you all like it and I hope you all have a scrapdactular day!!

Yes I know, long time no hear from the Scrappin' T!  I have been having some puter issues, ie my computer in a totally different room than the Scrappin Place, which is a pain! : (  That is my great project today is to figure out how to get my internet to work in the Scrappin Place, so I don't have to go back and forth to my puter in the family room.

As you all can see I have updated the look of the Scrappin Place and I will be keeping you all posted on how this "puter thing" works out for T!

It is a rainy day, but I figure a great day to finally get the Scrappin Place computerized! LOL!

I will be back later with the update and hope you all have a scrapdactular day!

Tool Thursday

Good Morning my scrappy friends!  It is Tool Thursday here at the scrappin place!  I was looking around my scrappin place to see what tool I have that I could review today .  I then looked at the top of my desk and there it was!  My Ranger Craft Mat!  Sometimes people don't think it is really a tool, but I think so!  It keeps my desk clean, it assists me when I am applying my fav distress ink (Vintage Photo) and when I need to heat dry my projects, it keeps me from causing major damage to my home! LOL!!!

I have two of these mats and I can say that they are handy tools to have in your crafting tool kit!

Day #6 of my journey and I feel better everyday.  I am getting a little grumpy (if you talk to hubby, he would say a lot! Poor guy!)  But it does get a little easier on me everyday.

Off to the scrappin place and I hope you all have a scraptacular day!

Whatever Wednesday

Good Morning my scrappy friends and welcome to Whatever Wednesday here at the scrappin' place!  Today for my post I decided that I would tell you all about how I got started scrapbooking.  I must say I think I was a secret scrapper when I was young, as I would go to visit my Uncle and Aunt in Oregon.  The first thing I would do is just sit and look through his many, many photo albums.  My Uncle, God rest his soul, when he passed away, he had over 75 of these albums.  So, Uncle Mike, thanks for preserving those wonderful memories!

I wanted to find a way to store all of my photos, and my sister in law told me to start a scrapbook and I thought okay.  I still have my very 1st page, which I can say is pretty bad, but  we all have to start somewhere!  That was over 4 years and a Cricut Expression later!  LOL!  I love this adventure and while I have not even put a dent in my stack of photos, I can honestly say I would not trade it for anything.

Now it is day #5 in my journey to quit and I had a rough day yesterday, but today looks better!  I am going to treat myself to some new scrapbook papers!  You know that you are a scrapper when you want to treat yourself to some new papers or other scrappy items!  LOL!

Hope you all have a scraptacular day!

YouTube Tuesday!

Hello again my scrappy friends!  Welcome to another YouTube Tuesday here at Scrappin T's Place.  For today I chose a lovely lady who not only does wonderful tutorials, her kits are just fabo!  I am talking about Kathy Orta of Paper Phenomenon.  She recently made a tutorial vid on a different way to do a paper bag album.  You all should take a peek at it. Her YouTube Channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/kathyorta.  She has other tutorials as well, so go over and view her channel.

Now, it is day #4 on my journey to quit and I am having some difficulties today.  I have come to realize that I used smoking to supposedly calm my nerves when I was mega upset, or mad.  I have some challenges that I must face, but I must find a better way to deal with them.  While I have not smoked since Saturday,  I can not say I have not wanted one.  Which is okay, but I also really do not want to get into another habit to quit this one.

Well, my scrappy friends, time to get off my computer and clean up my house.  I really am attempting to set aside time for my scrappin, which I have not been able to do.  So this is one short term goal I have is to have a set time everyday for the scrappin place. Let's see how long it takes to reach that goal!

Scrappy Hugs,

Exciting news for my friend, Penny Duncan!!!!

Good Morning my scrappy friends! I just got some wonderful news about one of my favorite artists, Ms. Penny Duncan and I am just sooooooo uber excited for her.  If you have not seen her blog, you need to stop reading this post and head over to http://pennyduncancreations.blogspot.com/

She has been asked by Cri-kits, who makes pens that fit your Cricut, to make some items for their CHA booth!!  In my mind, they could not have asked a better person than Penny.  So show Ms. Duncan some scrappy love!!!

I will be back later with my Youtube Tuesday post and more on my journey.

Blog Review Monday!

Good Morning my scrappy friends!   I know I have been MIA for awhile, but now I am back with Blog Review Monday!!!! I was viewing the many, many blogs that I subscribe and follow, so you all know it is a major decision when it comes to Blog Review Monday!  There are sooooooo many wonderful and creative bloggers out there!  Today I have chosen Joy's Life.com.  She is a kick and her site, which does take some time to load, but the reason for that is she has soooooo many wonderful tips, tricks and other great stuff, it is worth the wait! (It just maybe my puter!) Here the link: http://joyslife.com/

Please give her blog a look and send her some scrappy love!

Also, it is day #3 of my journey to quit smoking and it seems to be going okay.  It seems a little harder today because I am home and no one else is.  One would think that I would enjoy this me time, but my boys were a big help this weekend with the journey.  So, I will just have to get moving so I don't think about it.

My goal is to spend the time and money that I will be saving in and on my scrappin place, so I am off to do some housework and then going to my scrappy place!

The long road to quit

Well hello my scrappy friends!  I made a major decision the other day and thought that I would share my journey to quit smoking.  Yup that is correct, I said quit.  I am using the nicotine patches and so far I seem to be doing okay.  I did not smoke in our house, so that part was easy.  Driving in my car has been a little hard, but thanks to gum, mint and water, I was able to do it.  I will keep you all posted on my progress.

Tool Thursday

Good Morning my scrappy friends!  It is really cold and foggy here at the scrappin place.  It is now time for Tool Thursday!  Now, with all of the new goodies I am sure that all of you got from Santa, including myself, I figured that there are some new Cricut user out there!  Come on, admit it!  : )  With that said, I can not say enough about my bug!  There are soooo many other die cutting machines, which are good too!  But, I love, love, love my Cricut!  It is one of my most used items in my scrappin' place!  I am in the process of deciding how to give my bug a new look.  So there is my Thursday Tool review for this week.  I am still doing the 31 Day challenge and remember to leave a comment for my blog giveaway!

Hope you have a scraptacular day!

Whatever Wednesday

Yes, I know, it is Thursday, but I was having some technical difficulties, so here is my Whatever Wednesday  post.  For my Whatever Wednesday post, I was going to sing praises, so I will do that now, on the Lindy's  Stamp Gang products that I have.  I really love the Moon Shadow mists, because of the vintage look that they give any paper product!  I will be posting some pics of some cricut cuts which, I only had white paper and this wonderful product made the cut look soooooooooo vintage!  You should give them a try!

Have a scraptacular day!

Look for my post on the 31 day challenge, Day Numba #3!  I should have that up in a couple of hours!  Have a scrappy day!
